AICSYS Inc, "The Global Choice for Premium Industrial Computer Products” announces the release of the SBH-4306 and SBH-4316, half-size VIA C700 based ISA/PCISA SBCs. Many of today’s Industrial Computing applications still require ISA SBC’s, which have become harder to come by. As manufacturers are discontinuing the ISA models and encouraging users to migrate to the latest technology, AICSYS has released a new SBC for those users who are faced with the tough task of upgrading legacy equipment. The SBH-4306 is a full featured half-sized SBC designed around the ISA backplane, to further compliment the SBH-4306; AICSYS has also released the SBH-4316 which supports the PISA footprint. PISA uses a high density ISA slot, as well as using the unused portion of the slot to support PCI add-on cards. In order for PCI slots to function the system board must be a PISA, thus allowing for a compact alternative to the full-size PICMG backplane and SBC.
When designing the SBH-4306 & SBH-4316, our engineers wanted a system chipset that was full of features and could promise a long life span, we found just that in the VIA CX700. The SBH-4306 & SBH-4316 support C7 & Eden processors from 600MHz to 2.0GHz (400MHz FSB), both boards ship standard with a C7, 1.0GHz processor. System memory is expandable up to 1GB, using a single DDR2, 533MHz FSB, SODIMM.
Another strong point of the VIA CX700 chipset is the integrated display support which includes the following:
- CX700 Uni-Pro Chrome Graphics Controller
- 32/64/128MB Frame Buffer Size, Shared with System Memory
- 24-Bit Dual Channel LVDS Controller
- MPEG-II Hardware Decoder
- Integrated High Definition Audio
