AICSYS, Inc., Taipei, Taiwan announces the release of two new Industrial Single Board Computers (SBC's), the SBH-3907ANL and the SBH-3908ANL. Industrial Computing applications continue to evolve, with this evolution comes the need to build controllers, that only 6 months ago, which push technology to its limits. Typical applications inhabit a world where operating environmental temperatures reach such extremes as -20°C up to 70°C, no mechanical parts can be used due to extreme shock and vibration, and often the unit must be able perform in hazardous environments. These factors contributed to the design and development of AICSYS’s newest SBC's, the SBH-3907ANL and the SBH-3908ANL. Designed with rugged applications in mind, the new SBC's use VIA’s Embedded Eden & C3 processors and are available with a PCISA (SBH-3907ANL) or ISA (SBH-3908ANL) bus. The VIA Eden & C3 processors are the ideal CPU’s when low power consumption is a concern, users are able to select the EDEN 533/ 733MHz or C3 1GHz CPU’s. No cooling fans are necessary; heat sinks are used to improve heat dispensation. Both VGA and LCD support is integrated into the VT8601 North Bridge Chispest. The VT8601 has AGP 4X support, 2D/3D graphic acceleration with DVD motion playback, and 8MB of shared memory. For applications requiring 10/100 LAN, users are able to select either RealTek or Intel LAN controllers. The I/O features found in both the SBH-3907/3908ANL include: Audio, WatchDog Timer, (4) USB 1.1 and Digital I/O.
